About Manu

Manu is a creative studio founded by Molly - a freelance illustrator & print designer based in Brighton. After studying print at university, Molly started off creating hand-painted murals with a focus on details and patterns in nature. She drew inspiration from photographs and still life to draw detailed flora and fauna until later moving on to use Procreate and watercolours to create Giclée prints.

Today, Molly finds a balance between detail and simplicity. Inspired by the ordinary moments, quiet places and natural light, Molly uses a mixture of watercolour and pencils to tell a story.

A few years after beginning her watercolour prints, Molly began learning pottery and fell in love with the process after making her very first (very wonky) pot. Working from a small studio in her parent’s garden, she now creates her collection of wonky pots by hand, embracing the unpredictability of ceramics and celebrating the character that makes each piece unique.
